- Open the demo's Steam page. Look for the title “Guns of Eschaton Demo” and developer Eschatology Entertainment.
- Select the free demo option. Continue in the Steam client, sign in to your own account, and choose an installation drive.
- Let Steam finish the install and updates. Launch the current build from your library before following older troubleshooting advice.
This guide links to Steam; it does not host the game or a separate launcher.
What are you downloading?
The demo is a standalone adventure. The developer describes it as a concentrated introduction to the world and combat, rather than the opening chapter of the full campaign. Its Steam listing identifies it as single-player.
Do not assume that the full game's advertised co-op features are available in this demo. Save transfer into the full game has not been verified for this guide.
Before your first session
Our suggested preparation: check your installation drive, review the controls in-game, and start with graphics settings you can comfortably run. Change one setting at a time if you need to diagnose a problem.
Use the PC requirements checklist to compare your machine with the published main-game specifications. For an unfamiliar encounter, the combat field notes give you a simple observation-and-retry method.
